Nebraska Cornhusker Girls State

The Garland Auxiliary is proud to support Nebraska Cornhusker Girls State by sending 1-2 local incoming high school seniors to this annual week-long program in Lincoln, Nebraska. 

The delegates study local, county, and state government according to Nebraska laws by setting up their own city, county, and state governments. 

This program is part of the Auxiliary's Americanism curriculum by supporting American values in young women as tomorrow's leaders such as the privileges and duties of good and responsible citizenship and self-government with a hands-on educational opportunity.
