Board of Trustees – Public Hearing Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Garland, Nebraska, will hold a Public Hearing regarding a Special Permit Application as follows:
Permit #: CU-2025-02
Applicant: US Cellular
Request: Construction of a cellular communication tower located just north of the Village of Garland within the Garland Extraterritorial Jurisdiction (ETJ).
Meeting Date: March 19, 2026
Time: 6:00 PM
Location: Village Hall, Garland, Nebraska
The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comment regarding the above-referenced Special Permit Application. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide input.
Public Hearing Procedures:
- Individuals wishing to speak will be asked to complete a form providing their name and address.
- Each speaker will be limited to three (3) minutes.
- Completed speaker forms shall be submitted to the Board Chair.
Hearing Conduct:
- No disruptions will be permitted while a person is being recognized to speak.
- Disruptions will receive one warning.
- Continued disruption may result in removal from the meeting by direction of the Chair.
- The hearing will remain open until all individuals wishing to speak have been given an opportunity.
Following the close of the public hearing, the Board of Trustees may take action on Special Permit Application CU-2025-02.
